International Business Marketing & Italian Cultural Storytelling Internship
International Business Marketing & Italian Cultural Storytelling Internship
A six-month internship supporting global storytelling, educational content, interviews, and community connection focused on Southern Italy's culture, history, agriculture, traditional work, and generational traditions.
Blue Strategy & Creative is seeking an intern to support international business marketing and cultural storytelling projects focused on Southern Italy, including local history, village life, community traditions, generational knowledge, agriculture, foodways, religious and seasonal celebrations, family heritage, local businesses, and cultural identity.
The primary marketing language will be English. However, the applicant must have some written and spoken Italian language ability and a basic understanding of Italian culture, with a willingness to learn more about Southern Italian customs, Cilento community life, traditional farming, village history, and local traditions.
A key focus of this internship will be documenting and marketing stories connected to traditional farming, land-based work, seasonal rhythms, family labor, food production, village economies, oral history, and the disappearing ways of life that remain central to Southern Italy's cultural memory.
The work will support education, preservation, and community connection by helping local stories reach a broader global audience with accuracy, respect, and emotional depth.
Purpose of the Internship
This internship is not intended to commercialize Southern Italian culture in a shallow or tourist-only way. The goal is to help create respectful, accurate, and engaging marketing and educational content that supports cultural preservation, community connection, and global learning.
The intern will help Blue develop content, campaigns, interviews, research, and program concepts that connect Southern Italy, especially the Cilento region, with a broader global audience.
The work may support storytelling around village life, agriculture, food and farming traditions, olive oil, figs, honey, breadmaking, family labor, religious processions, seasonal celebrations, oral histories, music, local businesses, community rituals, intergenerational memory, diaspora connections, and the relationship between place, identity, and belonging.
